In 2021 the Malawi Heritage UK after seeing community resilience that was demonstrated by the community during Covid -19 pandemic, introduced the Malawi Heritage Awards. This was one way of appreciating the tremendous contribution that people made to the community during pandemic. After delivering a successful awards ceremony, we decided to be having these awards yearly to celebrate people in our community that have gone above and beyond to empower and lender a helping hand to others and contribute positively to society.
